About Team Endurance Racing

Who We Are

Welcome to Team Endurance Racing, a dynamic club from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, dedicated to the design and development of all-terrain vehicles. Founded in 2009, our club has crafted 15 vehicles, each showcasing innovation and engineering excellence. We actively participate in various national and international competitions, pushing the boundaries of endurance racing. Our purpose is to challenge ourselves through rigorous vehicle development and racing experiences, fostering a spirit of teamwork, resilience, and technical mastery. At Team Endurance Racing, we strive to excel in every race and project, embodying our commitment to performance and passion for motorsport.

Our Domains

DriveTrain

In the Drive-Train domain, we focus on designing gearboxes, differentials, and mechanical CVTs. In year 2023-24, we developed a 4-Wheel Drive system that allows seamless switching between 2-Wheel and 4-Wheel Drive, optimizing performance based on terrain conditions.

e-PowerTrain

In this domain, we develop advanced electric propulsion systems, focusing on motor controllers, battery management, and regenerative braking. Our goal is to optimize power delivery, efficiency, and performance while promoting sustainability and innovation in endurance racing.

Vehicle Dynamics

In this domain, we manage vehicle motion through steering, brakes, and suspension systems, ensuring independent movement. We use software tools like Lotus Shark and IPG to simulate vehicle dynamics, optimizing performance and safety in our endurance racing vehicles.

Electric and Data Acquistion

In this domain, we use electrical sensors to analyze vehicle performance, monitoring parameters like Vehicle speed acceleration, and transmission. By analyzing data, we identify limitations and make improvements to enhance the vehicle’s performance.

Rollcage

In this domain, we design and develop the chassis of our vehicle, ensuring robust support for all vehicle components. We prioritize driver safety in crashes and maintain balanced vehicle weight distribution for optimal performance and enhanced stability.

CAE

In the CAE domain, we use advanced simulation tools to analyze and optimize vehicle performance. By modeling stresses, thermal effects, and dynamic responses, we enhance design reliability and efficiency, ensuring the vehicle meets performance and safety standards.

Multimedia and Sponsorship

In this domain, we manage the team’s social media presence on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn. We use video editing tools to showcase our work and oversee sponsorship campaigns, maintaining relationships with sponsors throughout the year.

Our Work

Started in 2009, we thrive to develop vehicles of the ATV Segment and participate in adventurous sports. We are a group of undergraduate students who design and develop All-Terrain Vehicles and participate in various National and International Competitions. We are the only Club in VIT, Pune, who have participated in International competitions such as SAE BAJA International and various National Competitions such as SAE BAJA and ATVC. Our journey began 15 years ago with a new team formed every year to develop a new vehicle with more advancements than the previous ones. With a lot of determination and hard work over a year, we develop a vehicle. The All-Terrain Vehicle developed by us is named "HAWK," followed by its version. Our vehicles range from HAWK 1 to HAWK 15 versions. Let's have an overview of all our vehicles.

Workshops for Students

Our club has initiated these workshops to provide valuable learning opportunities and hands-on experience in our field of expertise. By sharing our knowledge and skills, we aim to empower other students with practical insights and foster a collaborative environment where everyone can benefit from collective learning. These workshops are designed to enhance understanding, encourage innovation, and build a supportive community of learners passionate about advancing their skills. This year (2024-25), we have started with the Solidworks workshop. The SOLIDWORKS Training Workshop provided participants with comprehensive skills in 3D modeling and engineering design. Over the course of three days, attendees learned essential techniques in part modeling and assembly, enabling them to create detailed and accurate 3D models. The workshop covered surface modeling, which is crucial for designing complex and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. Additionally, participants were introduced to simulation and structural analysis, which allowed them to test and validate their designs under various conditions. This hands-on training was ideal for those looking to enhance their CAD skills and apply them in real-world engineering projects. The workshop was a certified course, ensuring that attendees receive recognized training and knowledge in SOLIDWORKS.
